manufactures of the weighing equipment.
-
Weights,
thermometers and solution standards are traceable to the National Institute of
Standards and Technology (NIST)
-
Volumetric
flasks are Grade A or equivalent.
-
Instruments
such as X-ray Fluorescence, Plasma Emission, Atomic Absorption, DC Arc, Spark
source Mass Spectroscope, Leco Carbon Sulfur analyzer, Autotitration equipment
and UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, are regularly serviced by qualified personnel
and kept in good working order
-
Replicate
sample portions are analyzed. An acceptable precision must be obtained before
reporting.
-
Results are
cross-checked by applying more than one method where possible.
-
Analysis
are carried out on occasions by different personnel to ensure that no operator
bias develops.
-
Quality
Control samples obtained from reputable organizations, such as National
Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Canadian Certified Reference
Materials Project (CCRMP) are regularly analyzed to ensure compliance.
-
Previously
analyzed samples are occasionally re-submitted for analysis in-house to check
repeatability of the procedure and the effectiveness of the analyst.
-
All results
are compiled and then reviewed and approved by authorized personnel.
-
A report is
only released to the client if the results are considered to be
satisfactory.
-
A copy of
the final report is always kept at the Ledoux and Co. headquarters in Teaneck,
NJ. along with the verification data.
Ledoux &
Company is an ISO 9001-2000 registered company since 2003.
Having now been through three semi-annual audits, we are keenly aware of what
is expected as it pertains to documentation and quality programs from a
laboratory providing services on an international basis.
Whether or not being ISO certified is important to you specifically, we cannot
know, except to state that such certification implies that we have methods and
operational procedures that are written, and followed, and that when change is
necessary or errors/complaints occur, as they always do, that such is
documented and remedied if necessary.
We have always been subject to some study because of our Nuclear services, and
licensing requirements, and having the ISO standard applied to our facility is
something that we are all proud of attaining and maintaining. |
